GOVERNMENT LAZINESS THREATENS EU FLOOD FUNDING

The Government's laziness will ruin any chance of getting EU funding for the victims of last year's severe floods, according to an Irish MEP.

Around 30 million euro in financial aid has been made available from a Solidarity Fund, pending an application from the Government.

The only catch is that the application must be received within 10 weeks of the floods arriving - Ireland has one week left.
