GO AHEAD FOR NEW THREE STOREY BLOCK AT UHG

A new three-storey block looks set to be built at University Hospital Galway, now that planning permission has been granted.

City Planners have given the go-ahead for the 75 bed block which will be located between Block 2A and the maternity wing at the hospital in Newcastle.

In its application to Galway City Council, the HSE states that the new block aims to address capacity issues at Galway University Hospitals.
