GARDAI TREAT FATAL TUAM ROAD CRASH AS TRAGEDY

A 52 year old city man has died following a single car crash on the Tuam Road.
He's been named locally as Chris O' Meara from Glenavan drive in Ballybane.
Mr. O' Meara was the driver car that veered off the road and collided with a wall close to two mile ditch near the turn off for roadstone at around half past nine.
He was taken to University Hospital Galway, where he was pronounced dead.
He was the sole occupant of the car, and no one else was injured in the collision.
Gardaí investigating the circumstances of the crash are so treating it as a tragic incident.
