GARDAI INVESTIGATE LOUGHREA ASSAULT

Gardai have launched an investigation following an assault in Loughrea this morning.

The incident involving two men took place on Bride Street in the town at around 8 O'Clock.

One of the men was taken to hospital following the incident where he was treated for minor injuries to his head.

No arrests have yet been made and Gardai are following a line of inquiry.
