GARDAI CALLED TO STAND-OFF OVER ESB CABLES IN AUGHRIM

Gardaí were called by ESB officials in East Galway last evening as they tried to restore power to homes.Over 40 households in the Garrymore area of Aughrim were left without electricity as the ESB laid underground cables which resulted in a stand-off with a local landowner.
