Galway West TD lobbies on legislation for sunbeds

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Legislation on the safe use of sunbeds is to be published in the next year with the matter being raised in the Dail this week by Galway West TD Brian Walsh

He's asking for the legislation to be progressed swiftly to prevent children from using the potentially dangerous devices and to make adults fully aware of the risks

Health Minister James Reilly is currently preparing legislation that will include a ban on sunbed use for people under the age of 18.

Deputy Walsh says the legislation is very important in terms of regulation and awareness.
