Galway to join Leap smart-transport scheme

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Leap smart-transport card is expected to be made available in Galway this Autumn. The reusable plastic smart-card can be used instead of paper tickets to pay-as-you-go for bus and train services. The card which is currently only available in Dublin, will be fully rolled out in Galway, Cork, Limerick and Waterford by the end of the year. The move is expected to result in an increase on cash fares of up to 2 percent.
