Galway TD hopeful of legislation to tackle cyber bullying

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway West TD has expressed hope that a number of new recommendations to tackle cyberbullying will be in place by September. Labour TD Derek Nolan met Dr. Brian O Neill, the chair of the Internet Content Governance Advisory Group, to discuss a report on various aspects of internet governance. He says that September has been set as a target for implementation of some of the reports recommendations. Deputy Nolan says that a recent survey he conducted found that over two thirds of young people in Galway have either been bullied or know someone who has been a victim of bullying online.
