GALWAY MEP LOBBIES BARACK OBAMA ON UNDOCUMENTED IRISH

Northwest MEP Sean O'Neachtain has written to Barack Obama urging him to legalise the undocumented Irish in America. The Fianna Fail politician wrote to the President elect via the office of US ambassador to the EU Kristen Silverberg in Brussels. In his letter Sean O'Neachtain urged Barack Obama to show a sense of compassion of the difficult situation many illegal Irish find themselves in. There are an estimated 50,000 undocumented and illegal Irish living in America at present. Sean O'Neachtain is already planning to lobby President Obama and his team in person.
