14 jobs are to be created at Galway greentech company Cellulac.

It follows a 2.8 million euro investment in the firm by the EU commission for its biorefining project.

The project involves biorefining technology which converts agricultural waste into lactic acid.

The market is expanding at a rate of 19 percent per year.

Cellulac, which is supported by Enterprise Ireland, will be recruiting graduates from the life science and engineering sectors to grow its research base.
