There are calls for the city council to reject the city's latest Cycling Survey.

Galway Cycling Campaign says the results will be meaningless because the survey is flawed.

The group says several issues are missing from the survey, such as roundabouts, one-way streets, road narrowings and poorly drained roads.

The survey is on the city council's website and a public consultation will be held in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre in the city this Saturday from 10-4pm. (7/11/09)

Galway Cycling Campaign Chair Shane Foran now wants the city council to reject the survey in it's current format and create an alternative survey which addresses the real issues facing cyclists and pedestrians in Galway
