Met Eireann forecast 26C day next week as ‘Azores high’ moves over Ireland

The National Forecaster says it’s going to be a ‘dry day with plenty of sunshine’
Make sure to clear your work calendar for next Wednesday because Met Eireann has said it’s going to be a hot one.
The national forecaster has confirmed that they are expecting a 26C day as the “Azores high moves over Ireland leading to a clear day of sunshine”.
Temperatures will hit 23 and 24C across parts of Ireland over the weekend with Monday and Tuesday being more of the same high temperatures fighting to get in between the drizzle and the cloud.
This is what Met Eireann is expecting to happen on the weather front for the start of next week
Monday: “There'll be a little drizzle here and there on Monday, becoming more confined to the north by Monday afternoon.
“Another mostly cloudy day for a time, though a few bright or sunny spells are likely later, especially across the east and south.
“A little warmer overall, with highest temperatures of around 17 to 19 degrees in coastal parts of the northwest and west, but generally ranging from 20 to 24 degrees, warmest in the east and south.“
Tuesday: “While there's still a chance of a little drizzle into Tuesday, this will be dying away as high pressure to the southwest moves closer.
“There's likely to still be a good lot of cloud around too, before better sunny spells develop later. Highest temperatures of 18 degrees in the northwest up to 24 degrees in the southeast, in mostly moderate westerly winds.”
Wednesday: “By Wednesday, the Azores high will have moved up over Ireland and it's going to a dry day with plenty of sunshine.
“Highest temperatures of 20 to 26 degrees generally, a little higher in parts of the east and southeast, a touch lower in western coastal parts, in light to moderate westerly or variable breezes.”
