GALWAY BUSINESSES SECURE GOVERNMENT START-UP FUNDING

Three start-up companies in Galway are among 30 nationwide to be awarded funding under the latest allocations from Enterprise Ireland's Competitive Start Fund.

The Fund is part of a commitment by the Government under the Action Plan for Jobs 2012.

Galway West TD Brian Walsh has welcomed the inclusion of three Galway enterprises - Fixational Ltd and Novus Via Ltd, both located in the Business Innovation Centre at NUI Galway; and We Solve Ltd, based in Beech Tree Business Park in Tuam.

Under the scheme, companies receive an equity investment of up to €50,000 for a 10% ordinary equity stake in the business.

They are also provided with an experienced business mentor to support them throughout the early stages of development.
