FURTHER MEETINGS OVER SHANTALLA PARK REZONING

City West councillors are demanding answers from City Council officials on plans to rezone Shantalla Neighbourhood Park.

Labour city councillor Colette Connolly and colleagues are concerned about the lack of information forthcoming from city council management regarding the controversial proposal.

The proposal includes rezoning one and a half acres through the park to facilitate a through road for UHG to replace the existing road access off the Browne roundabout.

There are also plans to rezone Recreation land at Menlo Park.Senior city engineer Joe Tansey will meet with the area councillors on Friday in advance of a re-scheduled Planning SPC meeting at noon on Monday.
