FUNDING SECURED FOR TUAM SPORTS FACILITIES

Date Published: 24-Nov-2011

Funding has been secured for all-weather sports facilities in Tuam.

There were fears that the funding would be pulled after the original location at the Palace Grounds was deemed unsuitable.

But County Councillor Seán Canney has confirmed that the funding will still be provided by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports for an alternative site.

The process of finding a suitable site will begin in the next fortnight.
