FIXED CHARGE RECEIVER APPOINTED TO KNOCKNACARRA RETAIL PARK

A fixed charge receiver is to take control of Knocknacarra based Galway Gateway Shopping Centre.

NAMA has made the appointment to the shopping centre which is controlled by developer Michael Whelan's Moritz Group.

According to today's Irish Independent, property specialist HWBC Allsopp has been installed as fixed charge receiver to it and other assets in Dublin, Celbridge and Tullamore.

The paper reports that NAMA held fixed charges over the assets and that the Moritz Group itself is not in receivership.
