FIVE YEAR EXTENSION APPROVED FOR MOYCULLEN DEVELOPMENT

An application for a five year extension of planning permission to complete a major housing development in Moycullen has been given the go-ahead.
The extra time has been approved subject to three conditions.
The application to the County Council states that McInerney Homes Limited went into receivership before completing the development at Kylebroghlan.
The plans, which include 113 residential units and creche, were originally given the go ahead in 2007.
One of the three conditions attached to the time extension stipulates that the developer lodge a bond, being a cash deposit or other security acceptable to the planning authority, to the value of 339 thousand euro.
