FILE FOR DPP FOLLOWING RENMORE ASSAULT

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions after an assault in the Renmore area yesterday morning.
A man had to be taken to hospital following the incident which took place at a house in Glenrua.
Two men, one aged 37 and the other 24, both with city addresses, were arrested last evening and questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
They were later released without charge but a file will go to the DPP.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
