FEMALE PEDESTRIAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING CITY COLLISION

A female pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Eyre square this lunchtime.
The incident happened close to Richardson's pub in Eyre square shortly befor 2 0' clock.
The woman was taken to University Hospital College Galway by ambulance for treatment.
The extent of the woman's injuries is not yet known.
