EMERGENCY CREW RESTORES WATER SUPPLY IN GORT

Homeowners in Gort will have their water services back in time for Christmas after emergency crews worked to repair an electrical fault at the local treatment plant.

The water supply into the town is to be released around now [5pm] after a backwash filter operation is carried out by engineers.

Homes and businesses were left without any supply since 5 O'Clock this morning and a number of water tankers were provided.

Emergency crews have now resolved the issue at the treatment plant in Rindifin where a new fuse board control unit has been fitted.
