EAST GALWAY LANDFILL TO LAST 8 MORE YEARS

Date Published: 09-Feb-2011

Almost 98,000 tonnes of municipal waste were disposed of at the Connaught Regional landfill operated by Greenstar in East Galway in 2009.

That's according to the latest report from Environmental Protection Agency.

The report also reveals that the life expectancy of the Kilconnell landfill is about 8 and a half years, if it continues to have the same waste input as 2009.
