EA Games, one of the biggest gaming companies in the world, is to create 300 jobs to the city.

The Taoiseach and Jobs Minister made the announcement in Dublin this afternoon.

The US firm is to open a Customer Experience Centre of Excellence, building on the foundation of its existing facility at Parkmore West, as part of an investment that will be supported by the IDA.

EA inaugurated its city Bioware division in September 2011 and the company already employs 400 people there.

Galway East TD and Minister of State at the Department of Education, Training and Skills says the new jobs will mostly be in the area of language support.
