Driver licence centre to be located in Briarhill
Galway bay fm newsroom - Galway County Council will no longer deal with driver licensing issues from this Friday.
The matter was raised at this week’s meeting of the local authority where Cllr Tom Welby said there was a lack of public awareness about the upcoming changes.
Head of Finance Ger Mullarkey told members that those wishing to avail of
a licence will be directed to the National Driver License Centre which
will deal with all new applications from Tuesday.
One of these offices is to be located in Briarhill while a part-time base
is also to be located in Clifden.
Ger Mullarkey says there will be a national campaign highlighting the changes
