COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING CONTINUING DESPITE EARLIER DISRUPTION

The December meeting of Galway County Council is continuing at County Buildings but the controversial topic of septic tank charges has not yet been discussed

The meeting had to be adjourned for a short time earlier in the afternoon when about 100 people, who were protesting over septic tank charges, filed into the chamber

They wanted to hear the councillors debate on the controversial charge, although it's not on today's agenda

However it has still not been discussed and councillors are just back in the chamber after a half hour tea break
