COUNTY COUNCIL IN WATER CONSERVATION APPEAL

Date Published: 31-Dec-2009

Galway county council is imploring the public to conserve water as the water shortage eases.

Water has been restored to Clontuskert and Kiltormer in the Ballinasloe area, with Laurencetown and Clonfert to follow later.

The Mid Galway Water Supply scheme was switched back on this morning but areas such as Turloughmore, Gurteen and Colemanstown are still without water.

Killimore, Kiltullagh and higher areas near Moycullen are also experiencing difficulties with water pressure.
