COUNCILLOR WELCOMES PLAN FOR KNOCKNACARRA COMMUNITY CENTRE

A city councillor has said the population of Knocknacarra is rising so much that one community leisure facility is not enough.City councillor Donal Lyons made his comments after last nights council meeting where city manager Joe McGrath confirmed plans are in the pipeline for a new community centre in Knocknacara. Mr McGrath said details of a timeframe and a full financial plan for what will be a multi-million euro investment will be available in the coming weeks.However Councillor Lyons wants another community leisure centre to be built on a site in Cappagh Park that's not being utilised.
