Councillor warns of long wait for flood prevention works
Galway bay fm newsroom - A County Councillor says he's concerned that flood prevention funding would be fast-tracked for certain areas of Galway when some areas have been waiting years for funds.
Councillor Jim Cuddy says alleviation measures for the Claregalway and Carnmore areas are long overdue.
The Independent Councillor says it's 4 years since the bad flooding of the area and residents are still waiting for works to be carried out.
Councillor Cuddy says that several reports were compiled by agencies for the Office of Public Works but nothing has been done to date
