Constitutional Convention to hold regional meeting in Galway city

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Constitutional Convention is hitting the road and will be coming to Galway city.

The group, which was set up to examine possible changes to the constitution, has announced a series of nationwide meetings to look into other possible changes.

The convention meets again next month to consider removing the constitutional offence of blasphemy - but will then have around two months to put forward any other suggestions of its own choosing.

Meetings will be held across the country to hear ideas from citizens on other parts of the constitution that should be changed.

The Galway city meeting takes place on Wednesday fortnight October 30th at NUI Galway.
