Councillor Seosamh O'Cuaig has addressed the Bord Pleanala hearing on the proposed upgrading of the Oughterard to Maam Cross road

He said a third rate road is being foisted on locals due to environmental concerns

Day two of the hearing has also heard the concerns of fishery experts and also the problems with land acquisition
