CONFUSION OVER HEADFORD ROAD PLANS FOR CITY

Date Published: 03-Apr-2008

Headford Road residents in the city are claiming they're not being given the full picture regarding the city council's plans for the area. The Headford Road Framework Plan went on public display last night at a public consultation presentation. It's emerged that the maps displayed excluded some contentious proposed roads through Terryland Forest Park, the widening of the Dyke road and a new road way in front of the Black Box theatre. But yesterday morning, city councillors were shown different maps with the proposed roads included. The public has until the 9th of April to make submissions to the city council on the plan.
