Concerns over future of Cappataggle Post Office
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Concerns have been raised for another rural post office in the east of the county. It's understood An Post is to begin a three week consultation process in June as part of a review of Cappataggle post office. It follows the death of the Post Mistress there earlier this month. The local Pastoral Council is to convene this evening to discuss the review and also organise a public meeting in the coming week. The post office has been run by the Dooley family since the early 40s. It's now over three months since a similar consultation process was initiated for the post office in Barnaderg.
