CONCERN OVER CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC IN SHANTALLA

It's being claimed the use of residential roads by construction traffic from the University Hospital Galway site at Costello road in Shantalla is in breach of planning conditions.Local councillor, Collette Connolly, is slamming both the City Council and the construction company, for disregarding the planning provision.Councillor Connolly is concerned about the elderly residents who are being put at risk, particularly in the absence of any road traffic management plan. Councillor Connolly is calling on the Director of Services for Planning, Tom Connell, to address the situation immediately.
