Comer Brothers move to secure disused city hotel following anti-social behaviour

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The owners of the disused Corrib Great Southern Hotel in the city have moved to secure the building due to recent anti-social behaviour. The Glenamaddy born Comer Brothers acquired the building earlier this year for just over 3.5 million euro. The former Hotel ceased operation in 2007. Local residents have highlighted concerns regarding anti-social behaviour in the building after emergency services were called to tackle three separate fires there in recent months. A spokesperson for the owners told Galway Bay fm news that a team is carrying out site clearing work today and installing alarm systems to ensure the building is made secure.
