Co-Ops committed to helping Galway farmers

Co-ops in the West are committed to sourcing feed for hard-pressed farmers as long as the fodder crisis continues.
That's according to a spokesperson for Connacht Gold.
The co-op will take a load of imported hay to the mart in Maam Cross tomorrow, however most of the bales have already been pre-assigned to farmers.
The prolonged cold spell this year meant grass didn't grow leaving farmers short of hay and struggling to feed livestock.
A load of hay that arrived at the co-op in Tuam yesterday is understood to be gone, however Connacht Gold is expected another delivery of bales next Tuesday.
