CLAREGALWAY RESIDENT DANA MAY BID FOR PRESIDENCY AGAIN

There's speculation that Claregalway resident Dana Rosemary Scallon may enter the race for the Presidency.

In May of this year the former MEP stated that she would not be interested in running for the Aras but sources close to her are suggesting that she is reconsidering following Senator David Norris' withdrawal yesterday.

If she decides to run and secures the nomination she will be the second Galway candidate as Michael D Higgins has already secured the Lab nomination

If Spiddal businessman Padraig O Ceidigh decides to run there could be 3 Galway candidates in the race for the Aras
