CITY SEMINAR ON PERSONAL INSOLVENCY LEGISLATION

A training seminar on new personal insolvency legislation gets underway in the city today (Jan 23).

Up to 10 thousand people are expected to avail of the legislation when it becomes active.

The bill passed through the Dail and Seanad late last year and reduces the period of insolvency from 12 to 3 years.

It also allows debts of up to 3 million euro to be written off.

Grant Thornton Debt Solutions is hosting the seminar at the Meyrick Hotel in the city.
