City protest calls for resistance to Government's jobpath scheme
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The People before Profit Alliance is calling on the public to resist the introduction of the Government's jobpath scheme.
Around 10 people are protesting outside the social welfare office on Augustine street in the city since 11 this morning holding banners and handing out leaflets.
Jobpath is a a back to work programme aimed at the long term unemployed.
It will be partially privatised and has attracted interest from multinational companies such as security firm G4S.
