CITY COUNCIL URGE RESIDENTS TO CHECK THE REGISTER

Galway city Council is urging people to check if they are registered to vote in the upcoming referendum.

City residents who are not yet signed up to the electoral register have a final opportunity to do so at city hall until 4 this afternoon.

It's the final day for applications to the supplemental electoral register.

People can also check if they're registered to vote online at check-the-register dot ie.

Voters go to the polls on Thursday May 31st to vote on the EU Fiscal Treaty Referendum.
