CITY COUNCIL LAUNCHES ILLEGAL PARKING CAMPAIGN

Galway Gardaí and City Council Community Wardens have vowed to step up action to address illegal parking in the city.

The City Council has just launched a 'Park Right' campaign as part of next week's National Accessibility Week.

It'll bring the spotlight on illegal and inconsiderate parking around the city, particularly the misuse of blue badge parking spaces and parking on footpaths.

The campaign was launched at a ceremony in City Hall at 11am.

The Galway Centre for Independent Living's Leader Forum was also launched, along with an art exhibtion featuring local people with disabilities.
