CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERS WEBCAST OF MEETINGS

Galway City Council has been asked to consider implementing a webcast of Council meetings at City Hall.

Labour Councillor Nuala Nolan says it would give the electorate a good idea of how their preferred Councillors are performing.

The process is already available for meetings of Dublin City Council.

Councillor Nolan says that providing a webcast would make local democracy more accessible to the public.
