Charity donation reduces waiting list at Galway Rape Crisis Centre

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Seventeen people will be taken off the long-term waiting list at Galway Rape Crisis Centre, thanks to a funding boost. Twenty-four thousand euro has been allocated to the centre by the Manuela Reido Foundation, following its fundraising efforts in the run-up to the recent Connemarathon. The money will be used to provide additional counselling services and support for victims of rape and sexual assault. Helen Mortimer, Executive Director of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre says the funding will go a long way.
