CARNA PARENTS ANGRY AT LOSS OF SCHOOL SUBJECTS

Pupils starting their secondary education in a Connemara school next month are faced with losing two subjects that were available up to now.

As a result of a cut in the number of hours allowed for part time staff Scoil Phobail Mhic Dara - the Community School in Carna - will be forced to drop Home Economics and Art.

A public meeting has been called for this Monday night to discuss the situation.
