Car sales in Galway well up in first quarter
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Car sales in Galway are up 24% in the first quarter of the year with 2,070 units sold compared to last years 1,672.
In March alone Galway saw a 23 per cent increase on last year with 556 units sold compared to 452.
Light commercial vehicle sales were also up with a 43 per cent increase in the first quarter and a 45 per cent increase for the month of March.
Meanwhile nationwide, the motor industry saw a 26 per cent boost in new car sales for the first quarter with almost fifty thousand units being sold.
It is the best first quarter performance since 2008.
