CALL ON COUNCIL TO PROVIDE SALT BOXES IN TOWNS

Date Published: 04-Feb-2009

A Ballinasloe Town councillor is calling for the County Council to provide road salt boxes for the public to spread on roads where the council hasn't gritted. Town councillor Jason Devlin says it's unacceptable that not all roads are salted to a level where they are safe to use in icy conditions. Cllr Devlin says if the Council provides the boxes, local people can salt areas themselves.
