CALL FOR TRAFFIC TO BE BANNED FROM LOUGHREA MAIN STREET

A Loughrea Town Councillor is calling for all traffic to be banned from the main street in Loughrea. Cllr James Regan told the monthly meeting of Loughrea Town Council this week, heavy lorries were using the street and it was only a matter of time before serious damage was done to the roadway. It's emerged that some lorries are not sticking to routes agreed with the council, and are driving up the main street.
