A Tuam area councillor is calling for the Health Service Executive to impose stricter conditions on its rent supplement for tenants in the town.

Labour Cllr Shaun Cunniffe told this week's Joint County Policing Committee that one private homeowner in Tuam was forced to take refuge in a B&B last weekend due to anti-social behaviour from her next-door neighbours.

He says the HSE must act if people in receipt of HSE rent supplements are engaging in anti-social behaviour.
