CALL FOR MORE FUNDING FOR CONNEMARA ROAD

Plans are in the pipeline to lobby the Transport Minister for more funding for the upkeep of the N59 in Connemara.Independent Councillor Seósamh Ó Cuaig is hoping to organise a public meeting in Maam Cross and wants all local political representatives to attend.This year's allocation of funding for the road's upkeep was substantially down on last year's figure.
