A row has broken out between the Department of Transport and two bus companies operating a direct service between Galway and Dublin. One of the country’s biggest private bus operators has been ordered to stop operating a non-stop service between Galway and Dublin. The Department of Transport made the order to Citylink, saying the service is unlicensed, after a complaint by rival bus company, GoBus.However, Citylink has refused to stop operating the service, which started earlier this month. According to today's Irish Times, the bus company argues that the service is licensed as it's a variation of an existing service.
