BRITISH FISHING VESSEL ESCORTED TO ROSSAVEAL FOLLOWING DETENTION

A British fishing vessel was escorted to Rossaveal last evening after it was detained off the Aran Islands.

The Naval Service Vessel L.E Aoife detained the vessel about 11 nautical miles south of the Aran Islands at around 3pm.

It was in relation to an alleged breach of fishing regulations.

The vessel was then escorted to Rossaveal last evening to be handed over to the Gardai.
