BOOK OF EVIDENCE TO BE SERVED ON MAN FOR CITY RAPE

A book of evidence is to be served within weeks on a British man charged with the rape of a woman in Galway city last year.
The 26 year old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Harristown District Court yesterday.
The accused is charged with raping the woman at a house in the city centre on March 18th 2010.
Inspector Declan Rock told Judge Geoffrey Browne that the book of evidence would be served in two weeks.
Judge Browne remanded the man in custody to appear before Galway District court on October the 7th.
